Presentation of SPARDA “Media Cross-production Sessions”

From October 2011 to January 2012,  7 European cities will host the “MEDIA Cross-Production Sessions” that are organized within the framework of SPARDA Project and are addressed to Media Professionals.During the Sessions, the participants, Media Professionals, will produce a media report with another colleague journalist and they will disseminate or broadcast this media report in their own media or any media of their choice.

This sessions are an Opportunity to work about diversity in a new way and with colleagues from other media. Also a chance to belong to a Network of  journalists already exploring innovatory practices in media coverage of intercultural reality and its impact on the fight against discrimination in Europe, at local level.

The purpose of the sessions

  • To raise awareness among media professionals of possible innovatory practices in media coverage of intercultural reality and its impact on the fight against discrimination in Europe, at local level.

  • Allowing participants to realize the diversity advantage, according to the Intercultural approach, as implemented by the members of the Intercultural Cities’ network;

  • To encourage pairings of media professionals with a view to co-produce and co-disseminate high-quality and professional written or audiovisual media reports on Intercultural issues.
